US Armed Services Personnel receive $10.00 Admission

Anyone presenting a valid US Military ID on Memorial Day Weekend may purchase their Park
admission for $10.00 valid for the date purchased. Each individual must present their own ID to
qualify for the reduced admission. Children ages 12 and under may receive the $10 admission if
accompanied by a parent or legal guardian holding a valid US Military ID.
May not be combined with any other special, discount or promotion.

Military Discount: Edward Gorey House in Yarmouth Port

The folks over at the Edward Gorey House on the Cape offer free admission to Active Duty military and their families.

Adults:  $8
Children (6-12):  $2

Military Discount: Southwick's Zoo in Mendon

Southwick Zoo in Mendon, MA offers FREE admission to the active duty service member as well as 50% off for their Dependents.  So what will the savings for a military family be?


Adults:  $20
Kids (3-12):  $15


Regular admission for a family of four would be $70.  A military family of four needs to shell out $25.  Many thanks Southwick Zoo!  Southwick Zoo is open from April 13-October 27, 2013.

Military Discount: New England Aquarium

The New England Aquarium offers a 50% discount for military personnel and their dependents.  The dependents need their ID card (maybe I really should go get mine....).  Kids are fine if they are too young to have their own card.

The 50% off is valid on admission, IMAX and whale watching tickets.

So basic admission....

Kids (3-11): $16

Normal pricing for a family of four would be $78.  A military family of 4 can pay $39 for showing their ID cards.

Military Discount: Universal Studios Orlando

Visit Universal Studios on the Cheap this spring.  You'll have to stop by Hanscom Air Force base up in Concord to pick up the tickets for this promo.

There are 2 steps for this one:

1.  FREE 3-Day Park-To-Park Ticket for Active Duty.  Visit the ITT office by 3/31/13 to obtain your free ticket.  You must use it by June 30, 2013.  Activate it at the park.  This saves you $152.99 with the current 3-Day Park-To-Park special going on through Universal's Website  Or if you're a slacker, it saves you $172.99 if you wait to buy your 3-Day pass at the gate.

2.  FREE 3rd Day if you buy a 2-Day Park-To-Park pass for dependents.  Pick up your tickets at the ITT office by 3/31/13.  Use by 6/30/13.  Same as the free one for Active Duty.  Price with Discount is $135 for Adults and $125 for kids.  If you were to buy 3-Day Park-to-Park passes online, it would be $152.99 for adults and $140.99 for kids.

So how much do you save with this offer if you are a family of 4?

Regular pricing (assuming you buy online):  $587.96

Military pricing:  $385.00  

That's a Savings of $202.96!  

Military Discount: Stone Zoo

Stone Zoo in Stoneham, MA offers a 50% military discount for active duty members and their dependents.

With admission being $14 for adults and $10 for kids (ages 2-12), a family of four can see their admission go from $48 to $24.  

I love Zoo Lights!  Best Christmas Event Around!  (military discount is not valid on special events - like Zoo Lights).

Military Discount: Sturbridge Village

Old Sturbridge Village out in Sturbridge, MA offers a 50% discount for active and retired military members and a 25% discount for all others in their party.

Adults:  $24
Children (3-17):  $8


So a normal family of four would drop $64 for admission.  A military family of four would drop $42.  

Military Discount: Boston Children's Museum

The Boston Children's Museum will give complimentary admission to military members with a valid ID.  This is only good for the service member.  Dependents are not included.

Adults are normally $14 so your savings is $14.  I should be a math professor.

Military Discount: Butterfly Place in Westford, MA

The Butterfly Place in Westford, MA offers a $1 discount for all people in the party of the military personnel.  Just whip out that card and reap the benefits!

Adults:  $12
Kids (3-12): $8


Normal pricing for a family of 4:  $40.  Military Pricing for a family of 4:  $36.

Military Discount: Santa's Village in Jefferson, NH

I love Santa's Village.  More than my kids.  They offer a $2 military discount for all people in the military person's party.

Rates are $28 per person for ages 4 and older.  So $112 becomes $104 for a family of 4.  

One way we like to take advantage of Santa's Village is that they offer a "Free Return Pass" if you come within 3 hours of closing.  So we get there around 3pm if they close at 6pm.  We do a bunch of rides and whatnot.  Then we go again the next day but can spend more time in the water park area and whatnot.  This same policy holds true at Story Land.  

Military Discount: EcoTarium in Worcester

The EcoTarium in Worcester offers a "2-for-1" military discount.  For every ticket you buy, you get one free - same or lesser value.

Adults are normally $14 and kids are $8.  So instead of paying $44 for your visit, you should only have to drop $22 (1 adult, 1 kid).  

I've honestly haven't been here yet - but I have been saying I want to go for years now.  Someday.  Someday.

Military Discount: Franklin Park Zoo

Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, MA offers a 50% discount for military and their dependents.

With admission being $17 for adults and $11 per kid (Ages 2-12), admission for a family of 4 goes from $56 to $28.  

This is a great zoo!  The new playground is outstanding and I love the baboons.

Military Discount: Cape Cod Children's Museum

The Cape Cod Children's Museum in Mashpee, MA offers FREE admission for those with military IDs.

Normally $7 for everyone aged 1-59, a family of 4 saves $7 by showing their military ID.  $21 spent is better than $28.
